My anime knowledge comes from my teenage son. That said, we were in Japan for ten days last month.

The Studio Ghibli museum is fantastic and you'd love the Animate shops.

Quite like a bit of anime. Off the top of my head, I can think of the following that I'd happily watch again:

Akira (obvs)

Wings of Honneamise

Spirited Away

Wolf Children

Ghost in the Shell (movies, both series and the 4-parter)

Mushishi

Now and then, Here and there

Patlabor

Evangelion: the End of Evangelion

I will have to have a look into all of those as I don’t think I’ve watch any of them yet I know I own Akira and I think Mushishi is on Crunchyroll

Oh lucky you.

Animation movies by them are most often very good.

I would recommend food wars and black clover currently two very different shows but both great for developing characters, storylines and humour

I have watched both versions of Full Metal Alchemist. Give them a bit of space cause a lot of them are really really alike and they just differ more and more coming up to end.

Death Note is great.

One Piece as mentioned above is good once you get into it.

Attack on Titan is good.

Bleach I thought was good.

A few good ones on netflix, Seven Deadly Sins, Baki.

My fave films are all ghibli, I watch them all from Nausica, to howls moving caste, to the cat returns, to the latest ones.

I’ve done the same with fullmetal as you say it only really differs at the end of it

One piece and death note and attack on Titan I just couldn’t get into but I should give them another chance as I wasn’t in the best place at the time

Love Seven deadly sins can’t wait for more of it and I enjoyed baki but got to watch season 2

Looks like I’ve really got to check out ghibli

Hi

Yes we like most of what we have seen. Always picking up what we see in secondhand shops etc.

Not our real names....we will do an introduction but our names are taken from a certain Japanese cartoon film...

Grave of the Fireflies

Some decent anime in extra features of Bladerunner 2 DVD that's probably available on YouTube.

Love Dragon Ball have even got my 13yr old daughter into it as she liked Pokemon.

Have read lots of anime graphic novels and we have a nice little collection now, it has spurred my daughter on to drawing her own anime

Sounds awesome that she’s been inspired to create her own and expand her imagination
