I've spent lots of nights in hospital, but only one as a patient. I hated that so much I had a home birth second time round!!

Wishing you a speedy recovery and hoping it is nothing serious.

Oh dear - hope you’re ok. No chance of ‘rest’ in that environment. Ask them to source you some earplugs

Spent many nights in hospital, earplugs or headphones and sleepy music and blindfold are the secret to survival.

Get home soon, you will need the rest!

Ouch. Hope you have some good pain relief on board.

Ask for ear plugs and night sedation if still awake and possible.

My ex had a broken jaw and discovered he could liquidise Mars bars lol

Well it turns out. Arrived Sunday said could be in tonight or next available slot. So nil by mouth! 24 hours later they come and get me. Thing it was about 18:00, toke me down to theatre about 6 minute push on a bed.

To arrive and get explained what going to happen and do the paperwork. Then at the last minute a emergency cam in. “Just my luck” I laying in a prep room for the next two hour. “Imagine how hungry and thirsty I was “

Then they return and do the op. “Had one breaks and one fracture”

So when I come around said it went well, sent me back to the ward. Got released about 4pm

Had soup. Only a liquid die for the next few weeks. Every time I swolow getting a bad pains “ to be expected”, then I get a phone call! Can you come back in 8:40 tomorrow “as they have looked at it the X-ray and wasn’t happy,

So can you not eat after 12:00 am, arrive back for consultation. See the before and after X-ray, before my eye I can see after I now have two breaks one pinned and one with wire around the teeth. Proper bodge job. So got sent back to the ward to await surgery again. No booking no bed.

I have been in hospital a fee times over the years, from overnight operation and observation to a 14 day stay due to an injury.

Only thing I can suggest is to try and keep yourself occupied, easier said than done I know.
