Hi all, so I split with my ex nearly 2 months back and she has moved on with another guy which is fine no probs. But she keeps texting me etc even though says she is happy etc. Said our connection we had was strong and will never ne broken. I just dont get it. They are a couple so she says sleeping together but chats with me on video chat when he dont stay over. Totally confused.

Ask her.

Or block her number.

My wife and I were married for 25 years when we split up (on fairly good terms).

We text stuff about the kids and grandkids etc. We have never video chatted. Seems a bit too personal/intimate.

Do you want her as a friend? If not, you may have to draw a line.

Tell her no more, boundaries needed if you’re uncomfortable with it

I did ask her and she said because we had a strong connection that wont go over night. But it's been 2 month nearly. I think it's so she can inform me of what she is up to get me.

Ask her, not strangers.

I still chat and go to gigs with my ex. He was one of my best friends and although we fell out of love we still enjoy chatting and each other’s company. She may still see you as her best friend and miss your chats.

Maybe she just wants to be friends. A strong connection is hard to let go of. But if it’s getting to you, I’d just block her number. Simple as that. I wouldn’t dwell on it.

Do you get anything out of it? If not, ask her to stop. If she doesn't, block her.

With only hearing your side of this, I'd say maybe a hint of rubbing it in to show she's doing ok in case you move on too quickly and don't care too much. She she also not be as happy as she suggests.

There will be other offerings too no doubt.

Just because a relationship ends, doesn't mean affection and friendship disappears.

I've stayed close to 80% of my ex's. I have been to their weddings, invited them to mine, we've helped each other through the bad times and celebrated the good.

It takes two to tackle. If you dont want this to happen then firstly tell her then block her. The end.

I'd tell her to make her mind up if you're interested in taking her back.

Tell her to shape up or ship out. You got bigger fish to fry. Then get yourself back on the market and look forwards, not backwards.

She’s doing it to play mind games just ignore them leave her to it and keep moving on with your life she will see it dosent phase you and then you’ll either be friends or just drift apart into your own life’s don’t dwell on the past think of the future and let her play her games but just don’t let it bother you

Eventually her mind games she’s trying to play with you will backfire and annoy her so just move on and leave her to it

Just my opinion
