Ageism study (disgusting findings, outrageous outcomes)

Hello, I've carried out a study looking at swingers (this site) and their attitudes towards age. The results are DAMNING.

Through some space age technology, NASA boffins have aged my profile picture, I'm not actually 80 I just look it in my pic.

I've had this scientifically enhanced picture up for a few days now and there has been a notable decrease in the number of interactions I've had with fellow members.

Pms down 74%

Comments on threads down 65%

Friend requests down 95%

All this because of a grey beard, I think there needs to be a parliamentary inquiry to review these shocking statistics.

It's appearing to show some possible correlation but the conclusions drawn are probably a reflection of those making them, don't you think! You're skirting around preferences too, which are sacrosanct

Nothing shocking about your findings. Looks are absolutely the number one criteria for attraction. For all the platitudes spouted on here about nice personality blah blah being important that applies to a tiny proportion of the users of the site and usually only comes into consideration if there is physical attraction already. Fabs is no different to vanilla life and same rules apply down the bar on a Friday night out.

Hi have found that if I let my beard grow we get excluded. As a woman over 60 I find this very ageist not to mention old woman with grey beardist. In fact I'm revolting over it...

LOL yes. The following will probably offend people but came from a less PC era. A friend of mine used to have a mantra he adhered to on a Friday night out. "Go ugly early" he would say "and avoid the 2am rush".
