Up to ten thousand hours but seeing that thirty five percent of lamps fail in first five hours, the new led lamps are miles better in hours run and watt/ lumen output

Lamps usually fail when being switched on or off, so if left on and kept still will usually last longest

Low energy not good if you wear glasses or contacts as putting a strain on the eye

"Low energy not good if you wear glasses or contacts as putting a strain on the eye "

It is not usually strain it is stroboscopic effect which women suffer more with buying more expensive lamps helps stop it or better still use LED lamps which give out a more stable light output
