How do you make them?

I'm talking about the big life changing types.

Do you go with your gut? Meticulously weigh up the pros and cons? Seek advice from others?

Do you put your own wants and needs first or do the people in your life get more importance?

I over think and over think then go with my gut instinct after poring over the internet for hours gathering information and testimony.

I will put all the stats on a excel sheet do a couple of formulas then when I’ve got an answer I like I’ll create a pie chart cover it in cream and just wing it

Honestly if I have a decision like that to make I’ll just go for it. Then at least I know I’ve tried even if it doesn’t work out. But that’s me

I overthink everything and go over it several times, weighing up the pros and cons before deciding. I'm not very impulsive when it comes to big decisions. I spent a whole week deciding whether to buy my car in black or grey!

If it's a choice of directions, I'll always go left. Generally I just go with my gut (or do what I'm told).

Life changing types? Well when it came to buying our house I walked in and knew instantly it was to be our home. I still get excited when I see the front door after a long day.

I do put others before me after weighing things up. I left Scotland and the chance to do my PhD because I needed to look after an ill family member.

I try not to overthink it too much, if something feels right I go for it.

I don't over think stuff, I don't have difficulty making decisions either thankfully.

I'm not sure I ever really make any big decisions... My life seems to be a series of life-altering events that dictated following certain paths out of necessity rather than choice.

If it's just to do with me, I make snap decisions and hope for the best.

I'll put other first though, often to my own detriment.

At this point in my life I find it complex. On occasions I'll decide spontaneously. More time out of most it never works out. Just another life lesson.

My next big life change has required more thought and planning to it.

Though one of my issues is putting others before me!

If my gut feeling is good i go for it

Sometimes i have to weigh good and bad as it does matter!

My needs i have usually looked out for others until recently and now I know its actually ok to be selfish

Not to be totally selfish, but only look out for those that mean a lot to you

I do not aim with my hand; he who aims with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.

I aim with my eye.

I do not shoot with my hand; he who shoots with his hand has forgotten the face of his father.

I shoot with my mind.

I do not kill with my gun; he who kills with his gun has forgotten the face of his father.

I kill with my heart.

Thats how

See, now this is an area I struggle in.

When it comes to going with gut instinct as far as other people are concerned I'm confident there.

Big decisions when it comes to me, well, I'm flawed in that area. I don't always believe in myself or have confidence in myself, so, I weigh up the pros and cons. Do I think I can deal with the worst case scenario if that happened? Yes - I'll consider it.

No - no chance and I'll put it to the back of my mind and try not to dwell on what might have been.

So, I stagnate.

I don't take many chances because although my life may not be the most comfortable, although I may not be happy all of the time, I'm here. I'm alive, and I'm surviving.

I want to take the chances, but I know the ones I want to take have the potential to flip my world on it's head and cause nothing but a whole world of pain and confusion and leave me flat on my arse with nothing but the knowledge I've been stupid.

Predominantly based on intuition and my beliefs and feelings. I rarely do much analysis unless something goes wrong.

Oh it's not that simple, I wish I could roll a D20. I work in risk for a living, I'm always on the verge of wearing a tin foil hat. I analyse everything to the nth degree. I rarely sleep because of it. Even just the decision to take my couples life to fab over a year ago, consumed me. Returning single consumed me more.

Can I be spontaneous, erm sometimes, but I pay for it with endless what ifs and so what thoughts (erm sometimes as an answer says it all).

But the ultimate deciding factor in what I do, is influenced by the harm that may be caused to the people I care most for, as a result of my bad decisions.

Depending what it is financially I weigh it up, and seek advice.

Everything else is made in seconds, if it goes tits up which is rarely, I deal with it accordingly.

Exactly this, but sometimes I also crowd source amongst a few close friends too. And still end up going with my gut.

I kind of wait for the decision to make itself. If it doesn't I flounder about a bit then take a blind leap of faith
