I only received detention for not doing P.E. I was given a punishment exercise once (lines) for something daft, and forgot to do it. Got given my slip the next day for detention and I went up to the guidance office and convinced them the teacher never gave me the punishment. The teacher then apologised to me

Almost burnt down one of the science labs.

Kicked a football through the deputy head's office window.

Got caught smoking.

Told my maths teacher (who repeatedly told me I was stupid) to go fuck herself.

I was always in detention.

I hated how rigid it was. When we got to choose what we did, I had fun. But when it was hockey with the demon teacher, nope, fuck that.

I did thankfully have a lot of male p.e teachers who didn’t bat an eyelid when I told them I was on my period for six weeks in a row.

I thankfully went to a really laid back school and anything ‘cheeky’ I did was just a laugh. I could be a little shit, but was never bad, if that makes sense

I hated P.E

In a plassy bag from the Kwiki......they would sold by lunchtime, so only a couple of hours out the freezer

I, Bubbles, rigged a lorry battery and induction coil, to the male urinal. (They were all stainless steel back then.)

I was a little goody goody so never had one! To be honest I was a high achiever and attended summer schools and was part of a group that took extra maths classes at University in year 9 and all kinds of tragic stuff like that plus it was a pretty rough school on the edge of a quite deprived council estate so I probably got away with things that would have got kids in other schools detention. Such as pointing out to our Chemistry teacher when he gave us a hard time about poor mock results that the same class did great in Physics and Biology so maybe the problem wasn't us

. He was a crap teacher to be fair.

Our school never had detentions. There were two punishments if you pissed off the teachers. In both cases they were administered by the goons in the PE dept. You were either issued a slip for a cross country run with a backpack in which big black, rubber bricks were tossed in or a boxing lesson. Delivered by a big bastard of a bully who enjoyed boring you with his exploits, when he was an Army PT Instructor whilst battering you around the ring.

Didn't maintain order at all; it just developed a hardness to to kids who disliked school and a contempt for the teachers who had a habit of reaching for the punishment slips.

I'm a bit young for that. I had a teacher who use to throw marker penlids at us for not paying attention though. Or one of those big old wooden board erasers at the table in front of you to scare the shit out of you.

Honestly I was saying to my other half last night after seeing on the news about those care homes in Nottingham that we have a massive problem in this country. I'm so sorry you went through this. Nuns as well who probably believe they're all garunteed a place in heaven despite their disgusting behaviour. I'm not a believer but people like that make me wish there was a hell.

Much love and respect to you. Although I haven’t said anything directly on here I kinda hinted but I can understand the abuse that’s been received It took me years to talk about it and yes when I did it greatly helped but didn’t wipe away the memories. I and a group of others from my college did take it further years after and it did provide a tiny bit of closure , now it’s how we deal with it personally
