... is finally here!

I saw my first bumble bee while out walking the dog today in the late afternoon sun.

I heard it first, the distinctive humming sound, then caught sight of it darting from plant to plant.

I love bumble bees!

Bumblebees are so cuddly looking, I love their friendly hum as they bumble along, especially the real big fluffy fat bastard bees! sooo cute!

Yes I had a ladybird on my washing when I brought it in from outside. I love this time of year, and love summer too. I feel so much better when the sun shines. It was lovely walking my dog along the river this afternoon.

I combed out German Shep today and the birds were collecting the hair, which I left lying on the field, to build their nests

I'm looking forward to walking our dog while it is still light after work.

It was ok about 6.30 tonight down here. The street lights were on, but you could still see ok.

I walk our dog in the woods and it's a bit hazardous in the dark

Get yourself a torch Jack . Dog walking in the dark, in the woods need no longer be a risk to your health and wellbeing

I got a great little headtorch, It makes me look like a prat but at least i can see where I'm going and more importantly where my 2 stupid dogs are hiding

I had the roof down on my car today - definitely a sign spring has sprung!

I'm jealous of all you who talk about walking your dogs - we had to have our little pooch put down a few months ago as she had cancer. I miss her and our walks. Walking without a dog just isn't the same

Awwww, love those bumble bees, they won't hurt you if you don't threaten them you know.

Wasps, on the other hand will bite ya as soon as look at ya, but not usually around til August/Sept when the fruit is ripe.

I had a walk round Leeds yesterday.

It was lovely to feel the warmth of the sun of my face.

People seemed so much happier to wandering round in their shirtsleeves

yep seeing as every wasp you'll see this time of year will be a hot arsed queen with a belly full of eggs and ready to sting anything that comes between her and her papier mache

Thanks for that Wolf, made me feel so much better.

I'm sure they know I am scared of them, so lay in wait ready to chase me.
