BT scam calls

Had three recorded messages comming through via landline today (supposedly from BT) saying my internet will be disconnected tomorrow due to suspicious activities. Press 1 for more details.

Thing is - BT doesn't supply my internet...

Just be aware and don't give in to such scam as they'll be asking for money to stay connected (Google told me).

Gleam Street

This is the nearest thing my Dad has to a hobby... as a retired BT engineer he has lots of fun with these calls... anyone wants to borrow him to wind them up.. ferl free. His current record is them wasting 47 mins on the phone to him before they hung up

Hiding in the shadows

The call is doing the rounds

I don't have a land-line, but seen a lot of warning posts on local FB pages about this scam.

Another one, I have had.

I missed several calls from unknown number

I checked it in a search app.

Lots of reports - a scam call, claiming to be HMRC, you're about to be arrested for tax fraud unless you pay immediately.

I've been dying for them to call me back, I do love playing them at their own game

Bubbles answered. The phone one day, to a ‘withheld number’...

“They’re all dead. Just like you asked. The blood is everywhere. What shall I do with the bodies?”

CLICK....BBBRRRRRRR.......from the caller’s end....

His other one was (in a crap American accent)...

“Good morning, Mr President. The nukes are ready to deploy on North Korea. May I have the security code, please? Mr President, the codes?”

Cheshire

Yes I had one, managed to get him on the line, it took him 10 minutes to realise I was taking the piss

He got really angry, I then told him thanks to me using up his time, he wasn't conning someone else...called him a rude word, then the line went dead
