I think the phrase in common usage is pissing down. Typical as kids break up for summer.

My nan’s spare room.

I feel for all you with kids at home. We have glorious weather and as soon as the kids break up it starts tipping down.

We don’t let any weather stop us from going out but if they really don’t fancy the rain that’s when they get screen time. They’d rather be out though and at this very moment, they are in a park in the drizzle and cold and I’m watching them in my warm car

Not so O.P. You only notice the rain when your kids are home.

On a mooch

It was lovely this morning and only started raining in the last hour.

We’ve just finished shooting practice using the trees as giant umbrellas

The rain doesn’t stop us having fun that’s what macs are for

There's no bad weather, only bad planning.

I was one of those mothers that didnt believe in kids sitting round the house watching television or playing games consoles. As far as i was concerned they should be outside getting fresh air and wearing themselves out
