Newport Pagnell

Not sure you would look daft mate.

Swimming is one thing that really is a solo pursuit. It's not like you can really chat as you swim laps.

No body will be paying attention just go and even if they are, fuck em... To many people worry about what others who have no impact on their lives think

Back of the bins.

Get yourself into a swim club or triathlon club, lots of different abilities and having a coach really helps push you along

For weight loss running is best though then cycling!

Oh I will still go alone , but it if there is a friendly person on here that’s goes then or thinking of going it helps haha.

I have no problems getting my gut out , and struggling to swim like a dying fish lol .

Cycling is on the list to do also , football is usual fitness but going with swimming aswell when I can .

If not il just get a bike and go for a bit of a ride ea h day.

A world all of his own

You absolutely won't look silly going alone. Most people who go to actually swim (as opposed to a social splash around) go on their own. I thought the same thing the first time I went but that was the only time I did in about 4 years of swimming.

You don't need a friendly face as a comfort blanket, smile at people when you are there and be the friendly face!

Go for it OP

Wear your budgie smugglers and you'll have a nice wide lane in the pool to yourself.
