How long's a piece of string? Just make a decision to delete them, and then delete them.

couple of hours ... then i know its been ignored .. and just leave them to it ... dont bother them ever again .. cant believe some guys get abusive towards the girls though cos of rejection .. gimps

It has been read by the recipient but they haven't deleted it.

Suppose if it's unread then you dither between give the person time to either get round to reading it or actually responding, that's all.

Very rarely check sent messages and usually just delete them every few days.
