"Long drop" toilets on an Army training area.

Why is it called "long drop" I hear you ask?

Cos its just a shed over a deep pit, with a toilet with no bottom, so your poo has a long drop before it lands.

It then festers there for years, along with hundreds of other poo's, until the pit is filled, when they cap it, and move the shed to another pit.

Not to be experienced in high summer...I took to wearing my NBC respirator (gas mask) if I had to go!

I worked in a plastic recycling factory in Skelmersdale, they would buy in nappies from Germany and turn in into crumbled plastic. Occasionally you got a nappy that wasn't washed out properly, the operative used to throw up into the crumble and carry on.

Apart from Lush, my dad used to have a deli and ordered a massive wheel of Stinking Bishop cheese. It was a very long shop so he kept it in a sealed tub in the very back and you could still smell it.

Or I once cuddled a cat that had killed a possum and kept going back to it for days. So dead possum in summer.

The first time I went to Zante I rode a quad bike from Argassi to Laganas with the then girlfriend and was absolutely busting for a slash on arrival, so with nowhere else to go in a hurry I nipped into a derelict overgrown house to relieve myself. Upon entering it turned out that the "looky looky" men were using it as a squat and there was human shit surrounded by used toilet roll everywhere.
