Because there's nobody and nowhere else.

It means beans. And it means Heinz.

If you know the sum of the square of the other two sides, you'll be able to work it out.

I feel like we all desperately hope that there is some purpose to our lives, whether that be divinely inspired or otherwise, and so we search to identify what that might be. And despite not being able to find it (and knowing deep down that we will always need to take a leap of faith for it all to make sense, and not wanting to have to "believe" blindly) we continue to convince ourselves there must be something. Acceptance though would lead to some sort of nihilism which is fairly terrifying. And so we spend our lives scratching our heads and discussing with others hoping that something falls into place.

Yikes.

Pleasure is an outcome of the endeavour - futile or fruitful - you get something out of it - I call it pleasure. Thinking of an act as a result of the endeavour tends to create an expectation in your mind - root of all the evils or sorrow - keep your mind free from expectation of an act and futility of the endeavour , helps in keeping mind clear - if you get chance to act as a result of your endeavour - it’s mere a coincidence.

"Why are we all here, what does it all mean and can anyone make any sense of it?

Please note that answers of "42" will be met with a withering eye roll.

Tea

Pure Enjoyment- and Enjoyment comes not from attempting to orchestrate a favorable result in an endeavour

But from recognizing the inherent futility of the endeavour.

We are seekers - wherever we find pleasure without being judged - we tend to incline and take that route - isn’t it

You think...?

So pleasure comes from the futility rather than the act?

Pleasure is an outcome of the endeavour - futile or fruitful - you get something out of it - I call it pleasure. Thinking of an act as a result of the endeavour tends to create an expectation in your mind - root of all the evils or sorrow - keep your mind free from expectation of an act and futility of the endeavour , helps in keeping mind clear - if you get chance to act as a result of your endeavour - it’s mere a coincidence. "

So it IS the hope that kills you?

Can't tell you why we're here as humans, but I can tell you why I am here as one of them.

Just like most colonies of animal have roles and jobs that serve purposes, worker bees for example.

I believe I'm here as an educator, to pass on my personal experiences to give others hope in a world that can be so cruel, and hopefully to put a smile on the faces of others and brighten their day when their day needs a little light.

You create your own meaning. Its double think - be aware of the absurd pointlessness of everything but seek out responsibility and pleasure in their own terms. Try to live by a moral code and principles you feel make life bearable or better.

The realisation of a bleak and pointless reality is usually combated with extensive alcohol and/or drug therapy. Some people struggle to justify their own existence and will always try to seek meaning where none exists. Good luck to them, I say - I'm happy just to be alive and pointless
