So I’ve just returned after a few days on the Amalfi Coast. Whilst sat on the beaches I could not believe the amount of stunning men and woman. Micro small bikinis, all made up and looking great, toned guys in Speedo’s. Needless to say I’ll be returning soon haha

But that’s why I find what’s refreshing. All ages, all shapes and sizes enjoying the weather. Not afraid how they look or being judged. Such a refreshing attitude

The diet seems a lot healthier. A lot of fresh fruit and not a lot of processed food. I went to Deco the supermarket as was self catering and the freezer section had little or no processed food. The fruit and veg and fresh meats and cheeses though was amazing.

Also had a lasagne out and had far less mince than we have it here.

A big part of the Italian culture is about being slender...And they actually do a lot of body shaming...I have an Italian friend who is very slim and watches every single thing he eats because he feels constantly fat (and big part of that body shaming came from his own family). ..

I adored Italy when I went a couple of years ago,what I didn't like was having strangers telling me that I ate too much meat,too much pasta,too much gelato,and that I should eat half of what I was eating if I wanted to keep my slender figure

We visited a club near Bari, in Molfetta. A different experience from British clubs, no big play rooms, just lots of private rooms. Had a nice time playing on the dance floor though, Italian people are much less stand-offish than English in that respect.

(My partner is Italian)

Re Inspector Montalbano, we heard while we were there that the author had just died.

Italians don't go out to drink. They go put to eat or socialise which may involve one or two but never just to go out and drink like us Brits. Still love Italy tho

it'll be because they have great diets, the men don't drink as much beer only problem they mostly all smoke jeez
