It randomly popped into my head today that although many of us favour vintage-style lingerie such as boned corsets and bustiers, balcony bras, seamed stockings and suspenders, and even hold ups to a degree, it's rare to see a garter anymore aside from being the obligatory wedding trousseau novelty item.

Ladies... How many of you possess a garter?

Gentlemen... How may of you find them sexy and would like to see them featured more?

Nope.. They really are rarely seen anymore aside from under a wedding dress. Although I've seen some stunning ones on bondage-wear sites that are tempting me a little.

Garters were originally designed to hold up stockings either just below the knee or on the thigh... Think individual suspender belt for each leg... Waist level suspender belts with long straps replaced them. Tights then replaced those.... As I said, some folk simply enjoy older styles purely for the look and feel.
