Im usually pretty confident in life and work few thing phase me. But a promotion interview with a presentation completely makes me nervous and insecure (not like a new company)

So i get a nice dress, heels, 1st time i thought in my career stuff hiding my face piercings and ink and researched the role (i mean proper swotted)

Today i was calm and collected and felt pretty awesome, as i wasn’t pretending to be someone i wasnt or faking it.

What makes you to to pieces?

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound

I think doing proper research and feeling comfortable about what you are wearing and being yourself is always the best way to handle an interview.

I was the last speaker at a mostly academic conference recently. By the time I came to speak everything I had prepared had been covered. I started off saying that and warning them that I was going to just speak. It was very freeing to abandon the prepared stuff.

Jacs, I know how you feel, I have internal interview this Thursday, and I have to do a 12 minute presentation, 5 of those minutes being death by dreaded Power Point..

Hope you are successful.

For me it's going to be, Best work outfit on,modest heels, smile confidently and going to embrace my 12 minutes

Hey Y. Good luck. Let me know how you get on.

I use the “star” format. Situation, task, action, result for interviews. Really helps

Good luck. My best PowerPoint tip is the press 'b' to give you a blank screen if you want to get the attention back on you.

Public speaking used to, I've done that much of it doesn't phase me at all now.

One thing that does get me is competition nerves on comp day for powerlifting. It's exhausting as they last most of the day but really help with getting you hyped up.
