I don’t think I’m overly PC but I don’t seem to offend anyone either. I’m generally of the opinion that if you say something with good intentions and don’t mean any offence then what you’ve said isn’t offensive. Obviously I choose my words in certain company as everyone does but I think the media really pushes this kind of thing and has people scared to say anything.

I’ve seen people at work trying so hard to say the right thing that they have inadvertently ended up saying something even more offensive.

To be fair I can be if I have to be and I have to be in my job. Know your audience is the key. Some of the things I see especially on Facebook I just think why would you even say that on here!!

P.c has gone that far now that it's silencing everyone with a voice....It's also persecuting equality for all not just hammer into people you can't do or say this or that....The tables have turned on those that don't discriminate so even those are hammered by the ultra pc idiots that use anything as a excuse to cry racism or discrimination....I believe in equality not pc as pc is being used as a silencer for anything and everything

The thing with PC is that it is perfectly doable to not be but don't be a dick about it. A lot of people stand and cry "it's pc gone mad" as an excuse for them to actually be an offensive arsehole

I'm not pc but I'm not out to hurt and offend anyone. If they take offense to that then so be it, I try to be as neutral as I can be.

I’m not PC at all. I’ll give everyone the same chance. If they fuck up, no excuses, no allowances because they’re a minority group.

I think it should be about equality for everyone not extra opportunities for those who cry the loudest.

There’s a book by Ben Elton all about stuff like that. It’s really funny.

I'm a realist.I have a cold hard logical outlook.

unfortunately we have spawned a great number of keyboard warriors who think they have free speech as a given right without consequences.

If I mentioned teenage suicides, linked to social media, some CUNT will say "back in my day we'd say..."

I for one cannot stand frankie howard, though he can be funny..however when he targeted a young disabled boy(so happens his mum is famous),I drew my line.

I dont remember laughing when i seen bernard mannings shows

I never thought Lenny henry was funny, jumping his accent back to a stereotype to get laughs

*I will say that when brass eye did their skits (baby needs plumber/babies on CAKE/uncle talk),were at a very UN-pc manner, I always looked at them as an ironic view as opposed to something in your face like some of the above earlier i mentioned.

That's the thing. There is a grey area between being PC and being an obnoxious twat looking to get a rise from people with their blatant offensive ways.

yup a greay area is fine. However how many times have you seen twats saying things like 'these kids(who have been bullied and committed suicide'),that at the 'end of the day',

they should have have had some balls and not be these 'snowflakes' etc etc..

makes my stomach fucking sick, and never wishing something like that upon them..they will know in some event close to them that they were a total fucking CUNT.

Both myself and the OH, totally believe in equality and neither of us have, or would ever, discriminate against race, sexual orientation or any other personal trait, characteristic or choice.

And without ever wanting to offend anyone, in our personal lives, neither of us are PC to conform.

Saying that, we'd never want to intentionally upset anyone, its just that I don't think we even know what is now PC for many things.

What do you call a white person? Caucasian? And what is the correct way to address a black person these days? African, Afro-Caribbean, Caribbean? Whatever? How are we to know? And really, what does it matter?

Not sure if I've articulated my thoughts well enough, but there you go.

Yes, many of us now wish to be termed different from what used to be the norm.As this type of diversification has grown, so must our attitudes/laws.

It's not perfect but it is what modern western ideology wants, capitalism plays a role of course.

I'm not that far into the PC hole that I dont see stupid inconsistencies such as teaching young children LBTG at school..but there's always been opposition to teaching any sex related stuff to young children at school. Now the alt-right/right etc are now saying this is a muslim issue...when in fact it's been part of our western culture(religion is a main culprit) to denounce any union between man and man or woman and woman.

Right place at the right time, you've got to know the person and be prepared to take it if you give out.

If you call a random black guy in the street the n word you deserve a kick in the bollocks.

I've got a mixed bunch of mates from various ethnic backgrounds and if someone from a HR background heard us in the pub they would have a heart attack.

I was brought up to respect & understand people, not be a bully & not be a cunt in general, I was also brought up in a diverse community, with diverse friends, & I`m from a diverse family, so I`m PC by nature, I don't have to "try" to fit into the title of "PC".

The "PC gone mad" brigade are THE most vocal online, for the most part I ignore them as I`ve got better things to do with my time than argue with idle, ignorant wankers on Twatter & Fishbook all day (I don't know where they find the time to spend all day, every day sharing alarmist Daily Fail, Britain First & Breitbart bollocks, but there ya go..

I`m not religious, but I do believe in not treating others how I wouldn't want done to me or my loved ones, & I believe in Karma..

That probably makes me a snowflake compared to most of the other posters above, I couldn't give less of a fuck, I`m quite happy not being an ignorant twat
