Is it more an attitude or an inbuilt trait?

It’s always been an odd thing for me to quantify personally

Both. Some people are naturally confident, some have to work at it. Some act it but don't feel it. I don't think you will ever quantify it x

Both. Some people are just naturally confident, some people it just oozes out of them with everything they do.

Some people gain it from others etc.

You just need to find what gives you yours and embrace it.

I am really confident on the phone and on here (most of the time) in real life I hide away and giggle

Both. It’s got to come from the inside. Think of something you do that you’re confident about. How does it make you feel knowing you’re good at it? Analysise your emotions and learn to transfer them to their parts of your life

I say the most inappropriate things given the situation I’m in sometimes but that’s just a nervousness of wanting not to do/say the wrong this but then saying or doing it anyway

It’s the duality of it that I find intriguing- as in I’ve felt unconfident but been told I externally appear so and on other occasions felt confident but it doesn’t seem to appear so.

To clarify I’m quietly confident but just fascinated by what it is

I think it is innate.

However the environment needs to cultivate it so as to that inner trait can flourish and rise.

Personally I think it has a lot to do with liking yourself and believing yourself to be good enough coupled with not being too concerned what other people think of you

I get told that I appear confident even though I don't feel it. I talk a lot with nerves so maybe that's why? People can often have a different view to how we see ourselves x

Confidence is a very quiet trait. True confidence that is. It's understatement, it need not be expressed. It's just there as a permanent driver of attitude.

It's a bit like pornography: hard to define, but one knows it when one sees it.

I like confidence in a man, dominant men, strong men, alpa men. It's something about there body language doesn't need to be a spoken word. You can see it, you can feel it... it's a sexy energy that does though my body.

I'm confident in real life, i have to be because of my job. Even when i'm not confident in certain situations, i have to come across as confident, which is hard sometimes. I'm not confident on here though much prefer face to face interactions as i'm a very animated person
