In need of some clarification for messages I'm getting from somebody. Not on here I might add!

We chat very briefly every day but the convo stops on her end each time, she also initiates the chat.

The conversation basically consists of "hi how are you. How was your day" a bit of back and forth etc and then nothing til the next day.

So question is, is she interested? I don't mind either way but if it's not likely I don't want to be wasting my efforts.

Interesting to see if opinions are different, by how much, and the views from the gender divide!

"Doesn't seem overly interested "

That's what I'm thinking but why bother starting up the convo on her end.

Oh I have tried and it does pick up, but then just ends (I understand life away from fine obviously) and restarts the next day from the start.

Manchester (she/her)

I have conversations like these. I wouldn't do it if I weren't interested or at least like the person.

Maybe she loses interest as the conversation goes on...?? I mean that in the politest way possible

Funnily enough I have something very similar a while ago. She approached me on a night out and gave me her number. Then for about 2 weeks we had a similar type conversation as to what you described. After a bit I got fed up and just stopped replying.

They sound quite dull in all honesty. You could try and add an interesting topic into the back and forth to try and liven things up? Sometimes it's hard to get going.

That's where the confusions comes from. Surely if she was not interested she wouldn't bother at all yet... A lack of effort is obvious

The right place

I can’t believe I’m going to say this but Lord of Orgasms has a good rule of thumb. If you haven’t found a sense of rapport within five or so messages then you’re probably flogging a dead horse.

If she initiates it then she must be interested, no? Maybe your replies aren't doing it for her?

She's probably keeping you on the hook till she runs out of "better" options...

Some people find it easier to communicate in person then by text/phone as its easier to read the other persons reactions to what you're talking about,

Ask her does she want to meet up for a coffee or something

That would not surprise me. I've been there before many times.

depends on her connection to you too. just a mate, flirtation in a bar? etc

I text my mates that way but if I was interested in pursuing something more I'd be thinking up ways to continue the conversation

Just a random swap of numbers.

Yeah it doesn't help that I'm a chatty (yet introverted) person. If I see a text etc I reply, and often in great detail and enthusiasm haha
