On the return of someone to the site do you think that people should verifying them saying I met this person on their old account?

Meets on old accounts should in my eyes be not allowed because you left the site!

Then no one verifies them again? Even though they had 100's of veris previously ... I just find it amusing

Newport Pagnell

A verification is to acknowledge that the person behind the account is genuine. I think it's OK.

A veri is just proof they are who they say they are and that they showed up. That's still the case whether they met them years ago or today.

Club Meets Only

If they are a genuine person who has genuinely met people why shouldn't those people verify them if they leave & come back?

.

I think it's fine. They aren't saying person A looks as they did x amount of years ago.

The right place

Verifications are to prove that someone is who they say. So, unless it’s been years and they’ve changed a lot then I don’t think it’s a problem.

Verifications aren’t really meant to be a shag diary.

When we returned, our profile must have showed up to 'local' people, because, before they had even said hello, others were 're-verifying' us.

If you wish to re-verify a 'returning' member(s), fine. If they wish to do same, fine.

It is the profiles where they blatantly ask for re-verification, where, personally, I find it 'unfair'.

It just seems a waste to delete a profile if you have so many veris that you've worked on getting ... A couple like 1-10 fair enough but when you have 100's ... You might as well hide profile if you're leaving and keep it... Other words you have to go through all that bother again and practically beg others to veri again it seems like a hassle to others.
