Domestic violence is vile but sadly very common. More than 2 women a week are murdered by partners or ex's. I hope she has reported the assault to the police.

That's horrible. I do hope she's given him the boot and doesn't take him back.

In between my ex and my hubby I dated this guy for a few months, he wasn't what I was looking for so I dumped him. Woke up one night with him towering over my bed. He'd just been stood there watching me sleep. He didn't lay a finger on me just alot of weeping and shouting, but he woke my babies and really scared them. Even that made me scared to go to sleep for months and I had to move house becuase I felt unsafe there.

I hope she'll be ok xxxx

Horrendous Paddy, and tragically, an all too common story. Some women are never free from the abuse no matter where they go or when they left their partner

There is no place in the world for domestic violence.. it is so sad.. and to be woken like that and have a child in the house..

So very sad.. this man certainly needs locking away

ok im probably being cynical here but if someone beat you up why would you take pics and post them round the internet?

I hate violance and i really hope shes ok but that just seems a really odd thing to do to me

i did wonder if its right or wrong, nn...however ive been advocating people sharing proof of animal abuse via the internet at times, but thats about catching culprits i suppose.

I suppose people ought be careful too mind, regarding the offense as they a get in trouble too.(the pics i seen werent public i have to say)

First thing police tell you to do is get photos..

Your not exactly thinking straight when something like that happens.. you have a million thought going around in your head.. including often was it my fault, could I have prevented it.. guilt, anger, fear, so many things.. a photo taken to send to a friend who may well then want to protect them.. there is logic in that.. maybe even not aware themselves of why they would.

My suggestion would be that she is moved to somewhere he has no knowledge of where she is... it is the best way.. and a change of name can help.

May sound drastic.. but its better to be safe than sorry.

Domestic violence is horrendous. But don't forget that men are often on the receiving end of it too. Not all women are angels sadly

And this reaction to someone just known over the 'Net speaks volumes about you too..

I do hope they get over this as best they can. I hear all sorts of horrific stories like this, but I am glad to say that most I have been invloved in have reached a happy conclusion.

Thanks for sharing and I hope this thread has helped you in some small way

Thanks for the wishes to my friend, and to me all.

I don't normally have such reactions, I don't kneejerk either, all will suffer...even the perpetrator if he has any conscience to accept what he has done.
