That's the thing, giving it a name makes it seem like there's some secret society holding weekly meetings and planning a forum takeover rather than what it is, a group of people who post regularly and have banter. No one knows if they're perceived to be in it or not, it changes daily.

Tame when you left(for a day) there was 101 threads about you that went on for over a week. Wouldnt that tell you something. In fact havent seen so many tbreads about one person. Since youve een back youve been really quiet so why not start your threads up again

So I can’t have an opinion and make an observation about how tedious the forums have become, cause all the regulars do is suck up to each other. I start plenty of threads that disappear without trace because I don’t ask people to pat each other on the back and say how wonderful they are.

Well when I saw the title this wasn’t exactly the thread I was hoping for. Now I’m here though I’ll chuck my 2 pennies in.

I’ve only been coming into the forums for a few days and I haven’t noticed anyone being anything but nice. Yeah some people post more than others but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Surely anyone is welcome to post as much as they like?

Hey, well I’m new around here. I’ve only been posting for a couple of weeks. I’ve not seen this clique, nor have I felt it. I would imagine that as in every forum, there will be regulars that have become friends. I don’t see what the problem is there.

Personally, I’ve participated in the nice positive posts that pat people on the back, and I’ve had my back patted without being in the clique.

I’ve also posted threads and got some great feedback, and our first meet with another couple for a social. I’ve had chats with a few lovely forumites too and hope one day I get to meet them and become friends.

The forums are what you make of them, as is anything in life. Maybe you were just unlucky with your threads. I do t know... but keep an open mind and...

I just pointed out it's better to be proactive than go around complaining and adding to the perceived problem.

Not so long ago you were being named as one of the "alpha males" and probably got more back slapping than most of the other guys.

Your threads were popular because you asked actual questions and got people talking, now you post things then instantly point out how banal they are and mock people for replying.

If you can't see the correlation between your own behaviour and your forum experience then go ahead, blame "the clique".

I think it's only natural to have friendship groups like that. I am definitely not part of any of these groups but I really don't see the issue. It's not like they exclude people or make bitchy comments. The forums are very welcoming. I would also have put you in with the more regular posters who seem good friends. I always see your name popping up.

Someone starts a thread about another forum user and another 1-2-3 similar threads get started, Same as the appreciation threads about a age group or a body type etc

The're usually started by a group of people who regularly chat/comment on each others threads, It's not new the forums have always been like this
