Just don't go to Kwik Fit. They are awful. They will do the work and find 20 more "recommendations" or just tell you they had to do more than you needed them to. Independent mechanics tend to rip you off a lot less. Kwik Fit will happily take you for a ride, so to speak.

I found it’s best not to buy tyres or their services in person in their shops, but you actually get a better price booking it online. Recently, I bought 4 Michelin Crossclimate+ tyres. I was quoted a ‘reduced’ price of £480 fully fitted, during their free tyre checking service. After researching online comparing prices, I had the same tyres fitted by their mobile service for £392. They couldn’t explain that after posting my review on Trustpilot!

You'll also pay way over the odds for a shit service and possible get told you need this n that ..(you probably don't) but they are on commission for hard sales

Hiding in the shadows

They screwed me over royally 2yrs ago.

Annual service & MOT due on my car, always done at the dealers.

But due to a Norovirus break out the whole team of mechanical staff were off

Kwik Fit couple 100yrds round the corner agreed to take on all the work.

Car dropped off, car picked up

Told everything fine, oil, coolants etc topped up, nothing else needed.

11mths later, booking in at dealers for next one - I find I have no MOT, they'd only serviced it!
