It's OK. It's quite functional because it's not very old as a country. Freemantle is worth seeing because it's about as old as it gets down there.

There are some fantastic natural sites to see like forests, coastlines and reefs.

They have the nuttiest animals too. You should look up the quokka if you haven't already. It's the happiest-looking animal you will ever see.

I spent most of my first 30 years there. It's a good place to live, if you like the heat. Most of the things that will kill you aren't in the cities, and they generally do a good job of avoiding people (I have never seen a snake outside a zoo).

It's a big and beautiful country. Even a hermit like me has memories full of time spent outdoors with friends. There's a lot about it that I miss.

It was the heat that got to me. The hottest summer days where I lived could be above 40 (45 a few times). There would always be a few nights each year that didn't get below 30. I joke that I moved here for the weather, but it's not a joke.

Me too. I’m from Brisbane originally with all the humidity, and big spiders and flying cockroaches that goes with it. I come across people all the time surprised that I like it here.

I've only been there once but really want to go back at least on holiday or to spend longer. It's a beautiful country and the people are super friendly, I love the Aussie humour and take on life. Plus the women out there are gorgeous too
