The owner of Chams pops in from time to time, and one night some years ago, as I was leaving, he was at the bar with a woman. I overheard their conversation and he was calmly explaining that she can't demand money from men as it wasn't that sort of place. What made me laugh was how bewildered she looked, as if that genuinely surprised her.
