How far is too far?

What are other fabbers distance preferences and would they chat/meet with people who are a few hundred miles away x

I've travelled for hours and miles to meet friends from here.

Depends how much I like them and how well we get on

Distance for "quality" time with someone isn't a problem .. with planning

all meets have some planning involved if the person comes to you what difference does it make

A box at end of your bed

All depends on who with, what to do,how long for and where we stay.

Thanks for all the replys! The general consensus seems to be depends who and what you are travelling for.

For us distance itself isn't an issue as we love to travel for a night or two a month when out babysitter allows it and as we all know it can be just as difficult to plan a meet with someone 15 mins away lol x

I'm for England later in the year, all being well, to meet someone for a coffee or 4 and a chat. If the other person is worth it then distance doesn't have to be as big a factor as it might seem

I used to regularly travel 3hours. Now it would be a maximum 1 hour. I would travel further if I got chatting to someone from the forum

We are now of the opinion the forums the best feature on fab! It's more easygoing and always some drama in the Scottish section to keep you entertained lol x

Haha the town name was part of the attraction! And did a lot more than just oral

One of the reasons I love being here in the middle of the country is that most places are accessible within 90 minutes, that's generally my limit.

Exactly this. And also responsibilities! I love travelling and I love driving long distance. I can and have arranged weekends away etc at times but it’s not that easy when you have children so on the occasions I do meet people for a social I prefer to keep it local.

Time away due to having kids and also the money to do so is always the difficult part but we found that holiday homes rather than hotels offered better deals! Especially in places like the north of Scotland or lake district act. X

a quandary, could you change my mind?

Distance really isn't the deciding factor for the right person. Its the appreciation that time (because I work, like most of people on here) and have responsibilities, that's what get in the way.

I regularly drive 100s of miles with work so I don’t see why I wouldn’t drive to meet someone I like. But that’s just me, I quite enjoy driving.

I suppose it comes down to the type of meet. Would I drive 100+ miles for a ten minute meet? Hell no, but I probably wouldn’t drive 10 miles for that either.

As someone else said it’s more about having the time. My job is fairly flexible so in that respect I guess I’m lucky.

? I'm none the wiser? I met my previous fwb through forums who I travelled for.. I found out later that he was a lying shit bag. My current fwb I met through face pic Friday and I have met lots of forumites at the Manchester social. The only reason I would meet forumites further away is because I get a feel for their personalities in the forum. Random guys that message me I don't.

For us, due to Vamp’s mobility issues, more than twenty miles stuck in a car, means very little chance of play.

We Malay travel during day, and have some fun in the evening, if we are really interested.

I too cover a lot of miles for work, so 2 and a half hours seems a reasonable cutoff - a particularly exciting offer could entice a longer journey!
