Face pic messages

Ok so you start talking both send face pics and add them to friends, I have face photos there too, start thinking ooh I like this guy then go back to the message that they originally sent a few face pics so you can have another look at what they are like and they are gone! Happened a good few times. Why do people do that ?

They obviously want to see you, but don’t want any photos so you can see, can understand if you don’t talk or people ignore but when you are chatting I think it’s quite odd and rude is there an etiquette here I’m missing?

It's a funny one, I'm not quite sure. I can't retrospectively delete face pics as I'm not a site supporter, but women I've spoken to often do this. I don't read too much into it, I feel everyone is entitled to whatever privacy they choose. But I'm like you, I like to go back and look at who I'm taking to once in a while so it's a little disappointing.

There's a setting that deletes photo's from messages once they've been seen. not sure that answers the why...but thats how!

I suppose it’s because someone is ok to show their face so you can see it, but it’s a tiny bit of control to make sure everyone doesn’t see it.

If the conversation is going well you can always ask for another one. Say it’s because you’ve rubbed the picture against your foof so much that the ink has smeared

I would say its because they don't want others to keep the photo, download it, share it ect. So set it to do auto delete after reading. X

I know it’s only you that sees it, but some people do forward pictures on, unfortunately. There was a post about it in here the other day

I wouldn’t ask for another one, actions like that just put me off the person

I know it’s only you that sees it, but some people do forward pictures on, unfortunately. There was a post about it in here the other day "

I suppose but it just feels the person is a bit dodgy doing that especially if you have spoken and began chatting before face pics sent

People that are liable to doing that can just do it swiftly the first time they see it then

As we are couple this is often a prob that occurs one of us gets the first message sees the pics want to show other the pic and it’s gone. Bit frustrating

Tough one, I don't know for sure. Probably not, but then as other people have said, it's that little extra control and privacy, so who knows?

It's worth remembering as well, that if you exchange faces when you START chatting as is often the case, you don't know yet if you 100% trust the person you're talking to. You could turn out to be a bit of a loon after two or three messages, so I'd be glad if my face wasn't still at your disposal. If I talk to you for a couple of weeks and we get on really really well then obviously I'm not going to delete any pics I send because I've no reason, but the point is I DIDN'T know that when I initially sent a face pic.

I don't think it's necessarily rude or shady when you take that into account. But still every bit as disappointing when you want to go back for another peek!

I've been told I look nicer in real life, it's convincing people to take that gamble thats the issue.
