* If they sent you a message you can block them from that.

* You can type their profile name directly into the Block page.

* If you click on their profile it says you are blocked but there is still the menu button at the top right. Click on that and there's an option to block them.

Do the counter blockee's notice though. Is it a futile act.

It doesn't have the same finality as a door slam I don't think.
