While sitting eating my Sunday roast today at my parents. My mother politely said " You need a haircut son. Your beginning to look like Rod Hull ". When i replied that i look nothing like Rod Hull with a puzzled look, she replied " True. At least Rod Hull has a bird on his arm " ....... I was lost for words.

Anyone else been left speechless by their Mother

My mumma has never left me speechless....our humour is the exact same, both crude. The way I joke around, I learnt from her.

Pretty much if you can put an -ist on the end of it, my Mum is it

The filters are OFF

Yesterday's line was 'well, gays, they do their best to be normal, but they aren't are they?'

She's told my niece who is a size 14-16 max that she'd make a lovely plus sized model

She calls people when they are still in ear shot - wearing 2 deaf aids I don't think she realises how loud she is

I dread taking her out

Frequently, especially when she was recovering from a head injury and all her filters were off, not all of them have turned back on either

I think your mum is great, I love the dancing thing

"Your fat...go to the gym"..never bothered me much tbh

She's got full blown OCD and she checks things over and over. Including appointment times when she will lie that they are 15 minuets sooner than that actually are...

All the clocks in the house are set 10 minuets early and she checks what your doing random but if you need her she says "Not got time too busy"

She does ironing 1 bit at a time so she goes up and down stairs repeatedly over and over...

She checks bedside draws or whatever you stash things privately

You won't be respected in the shower.

Her ocd is wierd because if she gets a wierd compulsion that's final...and she will use you as a pawn to do the things she wants and she has manipulative ways to get you to do shit untill you find yourself doing something extreamly bizzare...

It's relentless nagging and fast talking untill your sent into an embarassing situation that was her idea without yourself actually thinking.

She blocked my ambulance paramedic team who came to save me and asked them to wait while she put shopping in the fridge when they had to go...

She nags...she says 200 words for something that can be explained in 20.

Dads also crazy. They make a good team.

Mums just wierd concealed ocd but I think dad must have anger mealtdowns and never sorted it so it's everyone else's problem he gets angry over dillusions.

You can wash up everything them he puts his mess by the sink then he screams at you to wash the mess even though he made it 30 mins ago....

My aunt was pretty good at saying what she thought about people within earshot. My favourites were "do you think he's a homosexual" about a man carrying a man bag. "Who on earth calls their child that!?" about a woman sitting right next to us who'd just shouted for Chelsea.

Me n my dad once got my mum to ask some poor lad in B&Q where the "dildo" rails were.

She had no clue they're really called dado rails n just kept repeating "Dildo! You know? Dildo!"

While me n dad hid round the corner giggling like kids.

She is. Abi Titmuss was one of them celebrity love programs and she'd been rejected by someone for a date. Abi Titmuss said " I'll just have to take it on the chin" to which my mother replied " You might aswell love , you've taken it everywhere else "

Not for many years I can't stand the woman or I couldn't she's long since gone. Be grateful mate think I was around 20/25 last we spoke. My parting words to her and my dad a few weeks later. " next time we see each other 1 of us will be in a box" and that's what happened. Harsh I no but your mother and mine op are worlds apart. Enjoy it while you can mate you'll not have them forever.
