absolutely a. I know how annoying it is when you loose your phone. It's not just the phone itself in the contacts and pictures that are too personal not to at least try to return them to the owner.

North of The Wall - youll need your vest

Bluetooth the dirty pics and set up 17 fake profiles on here...

Or sell them to pic collectors cos there are allegedly so many of them around...

But in reality it would be A

I'd try to return it, or hand it in to the cops. There's no point in keeping it, I have a perfectly good HTC

Nicking stuff is just a wanky thing to do, especially these days when phones contain peoples entire lives.

if it was actually on the bus I would hand it into the police station and notify the bus company about it.

when i was in college i got my phone back twice, both times left on the bus, the first time it was at the depot, second time a lady found it, rang 'home' and told my mum she would eave it at the local police station

even though im an atheist there s a nagging feeling inside of me that shit like that catches up with you in the end if you dont do the right thing

although in answer to your original question:

A first, then if not possible B, which I have done on a couple of occasions when out in a bar/club

ive got a decent phone and dont need the money from selling it, why would i bother being a selfish twat?

Anyone now thinking "something else" may want to be aware of this... They are now coming pre loaded with the app that allows them to be traced or wiped and auto locked.. So in effect they are useless to anyone else

Your welcome............ Lol

I have a code on my blackberry. As well as phone numbers I have my facebook app (fraping being a possibility) as well as my internet shortcuts to fabswingers which to be fair I don't think are suitable for all and sundry.

Of course there are also many impromptu pics and movies I have shot in varying degrees of filthiness and debauchery....

Still think a passcode is a foolish idea?...

I've never owned a smart phone. To me their for making calls or sending text messages. I just don't need the internet with me all day long. I have a basic Nokia 6230i and it does me just fine. No passcodes for me lol

Also worth looking under I C E as many people use this code for In Case of Emergency and usually put their next of kin under this. It's something the emergency services promoted a couple of years ago and is usually the first place the police would look too.

I'd hand it in.

Not too long ago, I had a bag of kit stolen from my van.It would have cost me about 600 - 800 quid to replace - electrical test gear / faultfinding kit + handtools.

I was very fortunate indeed because an honest member of the public found it stashed in a hedge just yards from my house and handed it into the police who duly returned it to me.

I cannot explain the feeling of having that kit returned, so I'm 100% certain that I'd do the same for someone else in a similar position.
