So grab you small violins and get ready to play that sad tune.

The past few months I have had low confidence, in all aspects of my life. I've felt down and extremely isolated from all but a few people. At times I have been ashamed of how I acted and regret a few things and how I have been.

I have been to therapy over it all, yesterday I had an amazing boost to my confidence. Not through a person in particular but just through myself. Suddenly coming to the realisation that I'm good. Took a few pictures and normally I'd just be meh about them. Honestly I'm thinking I look pretty damn good. I'm far from a vain person, I'll add.

Anyway other than being a bit boastful I wanted to just share, mostly with those that feel similar, that you don't need others to like you or approve of you. You just need you, and that self confidence will grow stronger.

Very tough. For a while I was just coasting by with a neutral or numb view of it all. With a few low points mixed in. I did have a short lived boost a few weeks ago.

Its a different feeling this time though so I hope it should last.

On a mooch

Wise words Kietonel...

“mostly with those that feel similar, that you don't need others to like you or approve of you. You just need you, and that self confidence will grow stronger”

because until you believe in yourself, people can’t believe in you

Good to hear you are regaining the confidence. Build on it each day

I was there, now I'm getting there.

Be honest.. live true.. be good.. what's not to like about someone like that? Other people spot the sincerity.. hang around with them.

Finding them is the tricky part. Not as common as you would think.

Also as a "bonus" boost to the confidence I rejoined tinder for a laugh and to pass the time.

So many matches this time around.

It sounds like you have been through a growing period in your life and are coming out the other side a better person, well done K!!!

There is a difference between being full of pride and full of self worth.

I read your post as a man who is finding his self worth.

Keep doing what you are doing buddy and take it one day at a time.

Thank you.

I'd say I'm a bit of both.

Mostly the latter but am full of pride in myself for starting to feel the way I do.
