I find it very convenient that 4 different sharks were all called Jaws.

The first movie has been shown in cinemas around the country over the weekend. I went to see it yesterday, on a massive screen for the first time. It was like seeing the movie for the first time.

Ruislip

They were only called jaws in the movie. Their real names were Steve, Paul, Annie and Tarquin. Annie only got the job because she was banging one of the props buyers. It's still very male-dominated in Hollywood.

Somewhere In The Ether…

The shark in Jaws 4 clearly had an advanced, built in GPS system in addition to facial recognition software; Bloody thing followed the family to the Bahamas and specifically went after the Brody family(!!!!)

I’m thinking escaped CIA experiment or something?

Must be a subplot that was deleted from the film but the idea was almost used later with the smarter sharks in deep blue sea

As a rule if you've had at least 2 bad experience with your kids being attacked and eaten to death by sharks and your moving, then live as far away from the sea as possible. Don't move to somewhere that is prone to shark sightings.

A Jane Doe who appeared as an extra in Jaws was murdered not long after. Her identity has never been discovered. Google Lady In The Dunes.

There's a movie production company called "Bad Hat Harry" that was founded by director Bryan Singer. I think it is named after a line that Roy Scheider ad libbed when Chief Brody was being harassed by an old man on the beach.
