Mobile detoxing and relationships.

There was a fun study showing that those couples that is using their phone all the time didnt know so much about eachother and whilst going on this detoxing period, learnt more about eachother than they have previously, as a result they were surprised over it, what is your view of how much time you should spend on the phone before it gets to much? I would say use it in moderation but it can be hard to do

I use it far too much and I'm waiting for Oneplus Zen mode update.

It locks you out of your mobile for 15 minutes, only allowing you to use call feature I believe.

Considering the many hundreds of miles that lie between me and Tame our relationship is mostly conducted on the phone. We'd be nonexistent without it!

That said I only average 9 minutes per day on Facebook, and it's mostly because my sisters tag me in stuff!

I use the mobile all day. I use it for facebook, fabswingers, learn languages on it with duolingo and play games, such as 8ball pool, it would be very hard to use the mobile less

We know quite a lot about each other and also spend ages on mobile devices every day. If it wasn't mobile use keeping couples distant from each other it would be telly, X box, the pub, whatever blokes do in the garden shed. If people want to be close they will and if they don't they'll find a way to avoid it

It makes me sad how many people I see out and about who just sit looking at their phones. Especially the ones with kids.

They are probably busy uploading pics of their perfect life to Facebook.

I don't keep my mobile with me all of the time and dislike their use in company, except for information finding, such as opening times etc.

I wouldn't date someone who wouldn't engage with me, instead of the phone either.

They can add something to someone who is solitary, even if just playing a game, beyond the practical uses. Largely the information searching is great but it's good to remember that we managed without them before

Yes. I have seen that too and on holidays, where the couples are sitting with their phones and not saying a word to eachother for a long time.

It is in quite sad actually. Families out to dinner but not talking to each other. Couples in bars on their phones and not engaging. An unfortunate sign of the times.

It's quite common to see couples reading books and newspapers and not saying a word to each other too. It's not possible or even desirable for a couple to be engaged in conversation the entire time, there's only so much to talk about

Websights like this are signs of severe addiction.

Should really play a video game, read a book or watch tv ATLEAST...because this isn't good for you especially at night

I have this and "the other websight"

What's the point of normal social media? I think it's even worse than this

It's "SUPERFICIAL"

I did have Facebook in its infancy but it got too invasive.
