The friction against the air would cause it to slow down, but probably not before it hits the ISS walls.

The Death Star would have a lot more room but somehow that achieved gravity so it would be the same as on Earth. They might have tried it while they waiting for R2-D2 to open the trash compactor doors, but otherwise I don't think they had time.
