Hopefully you’re somewhere hot and sunny x did the airline give you a rough timeframe when your luggage will appear?

Very annoying xx

1) make notes on everything from delay to lost luggage.

Put a cost on what is in the luggage

2) go to the hotel and speak to the rep. Take their name, details add to your notes. Chase the luggage and say you want compensation.

3) notify your insurance company... Please have travel insurance.

4) if the rep is any good, you should have at least free drinks as an intermediate compensation offer... On behalf of our company ect ect.

5) if you do buy anything clothing dose, keep the receipts and bill the travel company.

6) please try and enjoy the holiday as best as you can

Oh I'm not sure who the handlers are there but it's probably not much to do with the air line.

See above about the rep! She, he or even the airline wouldn't of loaded your bags, or not in this case.

Hope they 'rush' them to you ASAP, they will probably use a taxi or similar to get them to you. Good luck with the compo, hope you can get something out of them.

There and to the left a bit

Eight hour delay entitles you to a lot more than $44 compensation - this is from the CAB link someone posted earlier and is for anything over 4 hours delay:

"You can claim up to €600 in compensation if the delay is the airline’s fault - depending on the distance and destination of your flight, and how late it arrived. It might have been your airline's fault if there was a technical problem, or they overbooked.

You’re unlikely to get compensation if the delay was because of something outside the airline’s control, like bad weather or a security risk."

And that's regardless of travel insurance or not

This link covers baggage going missing and you're entitled to claim for bare essentials and more depending how long it is missing BUT you may have to claim straight away to stand the best chance of getting something

https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/consumer/holiday-cancellations-and-compensation/get-airline-compensation-for-lost-or-delayed-luggage/

Again it's regardless of travel insurance
