What constitutes 'Mature'

I keep getting messages fro. Guys in their 30s saying they want to meet me as they 'love mature women'. I can understand teenagers or 20 somethings thinking I'm mature lol but mid to late 30's??? Does anyone else get offended by this given that women and couples in their 50's and 60's tend to describe themselves as mature or am I just being hyper sensitive?

I,d say 50+ is mature but it depends if the person is referring to being mature age wise or mature in attitude. X

Everyone will have their own ideas on mature. Personally think it's a load of bollocks and just another pigeon hole that you get shoved into.

The Town by The Cross

I guess to an 18 year old, 30 would be mystical and mature, know the ropes and would be able to let him enjoy himself all over her and teach him a 'few tricks' that she's been whoring around for donkey's years.

It doesn't dawn on younger men that that 30 year old has probably had 2 long term relationships married one of them, didn't lose her virginity till she was 22 had kids one year after getting married , hasn't had regular sex since the kids were born and worries more about how many tin of beans to open than whether he needs sex lessons.

It's not insulting to be called mature. A lot of men use it to refer to an older, emotionally and sexually experienced woman. By older they often mean over 35.

There are a lot of things you could be called that are way more insulting than that

There and to the left a bit

It's just another line some will use on here in the (usually mistaken) belief it will get them somewhere and I'm not surprised that it comes across as insulting in a first message as it can only refer to age - now appreciate that some guys may have a *thing* for older women, just as some women will like younger men, some prefer their own age etc etc but surely it doesn't have to be mentioned in an opening message if at all.

I think mature is relative to the person calking someone mature, I remember when I was a young horny teenager thinking that a 'mature' lady could be in their 30's, now I'm in my 30's I would think that a 30 something is relatively young. But saying that, an 80 year old is definitely mature

Personally I’d say nature is a lady in her fourties who oozes sex appeal and has that confidence in what she wants sexually. Purely my own definition but it’s one of those phrases that’s quite a personal one.

Mmmm. I get referred to as mature which in most cases can be read in a complimentary way I think. So I thought I’d look up share what the Urban Dictionary defines ‘Mature’ as:-

1) Old and/or boring.

2) A word boring, uptight people use to describe themselves.

No age definition was given but the top definition was – ‘what 97% of the people on Urban Dictionary aren’t’ …. Guess I’m in the other 3%

It depends entirely on the context it's used in? The physical relating to sex can be taken to mean sultry, having a vast knowledge in comparison, experienced, knowing what one wants and damn seductive when the mood takes one... Or it could merely mean advanced in years, which is where the mixed feelings and sometimes head-scratching can come from?

When I think about the sexual pursuits myself and P get up to and some of the things we giggle at for example I think "Are we hell mature!"

But then I see a lot of my workmates in their 20s make almost a grand for a week's work, have a weekend off, then be having to borrow cash from their colleagues just to eat and think "If not doing THAT qualifies me as mature, then Fuck me, I must be...."

It's relative to the person. When I was 18 I looked at 30 year old women and thought how mature they were. But now I'm 40, they seem like children to me and I don't fancy them. I now see 50 and 60 year olds as mature. But when I'm 70, I suppose I'll see 50 and 60 year olds as teenagers ha ha.
