I have two pairs of shoes for an impending big event. One pair very high and the other less so. Obviously they aren't comfortable any suggestions to quickly stretch them a little?

Wear them for a little bit each day with a thin pair of socks on x

Spunk on them and leave it to dry over night.

This is what I do with my neighbour's shoes to help her out when she buys new shoes that she leaves by her door.

I was thinking that. I'm wearing a pair now which look very attractive with socks and a pair of shorts

I was thinking thin socks for a couple of days then a thicker pair. As I said I'm languishing in front of Jeremy and Boris in shorts, socks and high heels. I'm a bit of a trend setter really

I've actually just read this in a magazine "Break in new shoes by wearing them indoors with two pairs of thick socks for a couple of weeks before the event"

I thought two pairs of socks were a bit excessive but that's what it said!

Good luck!

Use a hairdryer on them until the leather is warm then wear them with socks.

You can buy a spray that relaxes the leather..spray on then wear them for a short while and they adjust to your feet..shoe repair shops sell it...

If I had to pee in someone's I'd choose another person's rather than my own.

When I was 5 the school toilets were locked when I got there in the morning and I accidentally peed in someone's welly.

If you have time, the shoe stretchers are brilliant, but you have to leave them for days. If they are material or leather that stretches, swill them under the tap inside or spray in the stretch spray.

I got the wooden shoe stretchers from flea bay. I run the water around inside them and put the stretchers in and leave them for days. Works amazingly. I have size 3.5 wide feet. Bit dodgy with water and suede, maybe buy the spray others mention for those with the stretchers. The stretchers will last a lifetime, and saves all breaking in of new shoes

Shove a couple of big spuds in them

Wear them around the house with thick socks, and apparently the freezer thing works too!

If they are still snug Vaseline on your feet and on the shoes will stop them rubbing!
