Camberwell

Zetec fiesta perhaps, you can usually get a good deal on a slightly used ford and there’s always plenty to choose from

Mokka's aren't too bad. I'd go for a focus myself

Shrewsbury

We have a Kuga (2.0TDCi, AWD, 180ps, great cars, very capable off road if you go for an awd one too, although you lose out a bit on mpg over 2wd though..

The newer ones are available with a 1.5EcoBoost petrol engine too

I’ve had both a Moka and a Kuga in the last year and the Kuga is by far the best one

Whatever you get, go for a Hybrid. You get kids of miles from them.

Sorry typo error. I meant to say you get loads of miles from them. Not kids

For slightly bigger you can’t go far wrong with a focus. Have had 3 over the last 15 years and not once have they failed to start on the key and have never cost more than a few hundred quid a year in maintenance.

Currently the 1.0 zetec ecoboost I have does over 45mpg on the motorway if you’re calm and it’s pretty comfy on the long runs, even for a tall bloke like me.

Have you taken a look at a Vauxhall astra. Bit bigger, cheaper than a focus or golf and you may get a better PX from a Vauxhall dealer.

Got one as my company cay and they are cheap and nasty.

Spend a bit more on something else. Also the problems that they have had with the new model diesel should be enough to stop you buying.

A friend of mine had an 18 plate Mokka.

Build quality was shite and the 1600cc engine was gutless.

Think you be dissapointed with it

Avoid vauxhall, theyre terrible.

Look at ford, toyota, honda, kia

We saw more vauxhall, seat, skoda,vw,audi engines in for remanufacture than any other brand

Just bought the Ateca FR 4 drive and I'm loving it. 2.0 TDI and so far in the last 2 weeks getting 54mpg. Bit bigger than a corsa but it has all the toys and you soon get used to it.

Golf or Civic, both comparatively bomb proof and hold their resale value.

Had a Mokka for 3 years, lovely car to driver, IMHO.

I had the Corsa SXi, was wrote off 6 weeks after I bought it, by someone who didnt see fit to stop at the roundabout!

Just bought a 1.6 Astra and I love it. Bigger than the Corsa, heavier on the steering, but I prefer that. Breaks better, and so far quite economical.

The new Civics look like

Transformers. They're so ugly and ridiculous that I actually really want one.

Have a look at the Kia Soul. There are really spacious on the inside with some great styling.
