"Anything! Preferably something that has a bit of substance to it.x"

Once - it's low budget and wonderfully melancholy. Not sure if it's available on the sources you mentioned.

"Once is a 2007 Irish romantic musical drama film written and directed by John Carney. The film stars Glen Hansard and Markéta Irglová as two struggling musicians in Dublin, Ireland. Hansard and Irglová had previously performed music as the Swell Season, and composed and performed the film's original songs."

There and to the left a bit

Amazon Prime - you could do a lot worse than Outlander it has everything, a modicum of time travel, romance, intrigue, adventure, some swashed buckles and some rather hot sex scenes too.

Is the tale of a British Army nurse at the end of WW2 who gets transported back to Scotland in the 1700s where she falls in love with a Highlander caught up in the rebellion up there at the time - really can't recommend it enough if it sounds your kind of thing.

Failing that Vikings...which is about errr Vikings!!

Netflix - Bonding

It's funny, sexy, and odly life affirming. Well worth a watch.

The Haunting of Hill House is rather good too. Very scary.

I’ve heard about When They See Us, I know the story from a documentary I watched a few years ago, I’ll add it to my list.

The acting in it is superb!!

There is also a show where Oprah interviews the actors and the real people which is quite moving too
