Never saw the point in learning another language when the rest of the world speaks English. It's a kin to trying to open an umbrella in a hurricane - a bit pointless. hehehe

No but do speak French, not fluently but get by very very well.

Must admith think we English have this attitude when it comaes to learning other languages, it's called laziness.

We do expect everyone to speak English.

A world of my own

I don't speak Spanish but know a few words and phrases also a bit of German and French that I still remember from school. I can speak/write Greek as thats where I spend most of my hols.

I think us Brits are way to lazy when it comes to learning another language even if its just a few words like good morning, please, thankyou etc..

Can hold me own in turkey and when the french market comes to town.

great at ordering them choc thingys that the french eat

oh and can say ola. does that count as spanish ? and also can talk sh*te when the occasion merits it
