50 things for adults to do

"Why as adults have we lost the ability to play, for children it is a necessity, biologically driven and is meant to develop all manner of skills including improving mental health, surely the need to play doesn't dissipate, it should evolve.

I will play, love jumping in puddles, love roley poleying down hills, love the swings, love the slide but got stuck haha. Laying on the grass looking at shapes in clouds is another.

I often think we should develop a challenge, one of 50 things for adults to do daily." - Words from a lovely lady on here on the kite thread.

So what will be your choice of things that adults should do to be happy?

Get the skipping rope out, on your own or a massive one and gather all the other adults in your street to join in. We used to do that as kids, it was fun, can't remember the song that went with it

I can remember about 10 of us all skipping in one big rope at the same time, then one would leave, everyone would move up then that person would jump in at the back. It's bugging me that I can't think of the song. If you were the one that messed up you were out. We done this on our road.....ahhhhh, those were the days!!! Happy days

Central

Have mystery trips and events with your friends, rotating who organises them. Absolutely anything is permitted.

Every time a voice in your head says you can't, shouldn't etc, consider if it's legal etc and wouldn't hurt anyone and then enjoy doing it. Break some rules.

Have picnics in nature or wonderful places

Vary your tempo often

I agree op, we as adults must play - it's unnatural not to

To sing really loudly and out of tune.

To walk a cat on a leash and, give zero f*cks.

To admit to being a connoisseur of your own farts.

Dancing naked whilst attempting to replicate meat spin.

Playing on a child’s swing set.

Laughing at funny jokes (without caring about political correctness?)

Yeah course I would.

Thing is, they don't know you. You'll probably never see them again. Even if you do, so what if they think you're mad.

No matter what we do in life, some will approve and some won't. We're not killing anyone, we are looking after ourselves and being happy. I could be run over by a bus tomorrow so today I'll have fun.

Serious bit over, back to jumping in puddles.
