So browsing through the Celebs post,I noticed that very few (although i didn't know all the names) were 'bigger' ladies. To me this confirms my belief that men don't ultimately want women like me. Despite the constant barrage of big is beautiful posts on here.

I guess the reason people might give is that fantasy is different.. so does that mean you step down in reality or just want different things?

Is it because celebs are unobtainable so it makes us want them more?

Is it because in really the average woman doesn't look like Julia Roberts or portrayed perfection?

This is in no way a dig at anyone, I'm not body shaming and nor do I wish to offend.

I'm just genuinely curious and want people's views.

Granted I'm probably a bit sensitive as I'm not comfortable with my size (I wish I was) but I can't be the only one that notices these things.

To be honest despite being bisexual I'm not that attracted to any celebrities. Not everyone is attracted to the kind of image most celebrities have.

I think a lot is to do with numbers, there aren't that many larger lady celebrities and those who are tend to be portrayed as comedy figures like Dawn French or Rebel Wilson rather than the glammed up Hollywood stars we're used to.

It's really hard to think of many celebrities that are “bigger" in a perfect world peoples perception would not be she/he the "normal" body type and would just go by talent but the entertainment industry is a fickle one sorry for all the quotes

Think that about nails it - I would think it would apply equally to male celebrity fantasy figures that women choose too - I don't remember the specific thread but if it's like others of it's ilk I bet the majority of the men named were Tom Hardy types

My celeb crush is Hayley McQueen, she has a lovely face, soulful eyes and a fuller figure. She doesn’t conform to media portrayed perfection at all.

On here there are a number of women who are considerably more attractive to me than a Julia Roberts, Scarlett Johansson or Kiera Knightly

My reality and fantasy both change over time and could be the same but typically aren't. The so called fantasy offers or represents for me more thank just an ideal sex partner, much more than this. They represent much about me and less so of them.

I may be unusual and I've had some very big shifts in who they'll be but the key thing is that whilst one would be fantastic, I have multiple types, each ono giving something different.

If we want to represent the ultimate ideal of perfection for another, we are generally going to be disappointed, unless they are our romantic partner

I doubt many of the celebrities named were older women either yet they're feted on fab too.

Celebrity and celebrities are a fantasy and they work hard at maintaining that, it's their job.

I think you're looking for confirmation of your beliefs and finding it where it doesn't necessarily exist. I could use the celebrity thread to prove that men don't really want women like me, in fact probably most of us could.

Fantasy pertains to the unattainable/the dream, otherwise it would be reality! Everyone has them and most realise these dreams are unattainable so are happy with that! It's also good and healthy to have fantasies ...
