How do they make you feel?

Personally I love a compliment, it makes my day if someone says something nice about me.

I was wondering if it's the same for everyone though.

I would imagine many of the women on here get complimented on a regular basis,do you just become immune to them and assume that the guy is just saying nice things to get you into bed or do you genuinely enjoy it each time you get one?

It depends on the context on how it is given. If it's from a friend in real life or someone I've been chatting to for a while it's nice. Being bombarded with them in the first few messages seems disingenuous and is taken with a pinch of salt x

In real life I get quite a few but on here not very many which is sad because I’m off to telling people how shit they are or are prettier shame

Depends. I used to be terrible at accepting them, mostly because I didn't believe them.

I have become comfortable accepting them from certain people.

However at the end of the day they are just a load of horseshit a lot of the time. A means to win you over to what suits them.

If it's genuine (or at least seems it), I find them flattering and a nice little boost. I struggle believing them sometimes.

Over the top fake compliments annoy me.

Depends on context. Here they're usually meaningless and sometimes just outright lies. ("sexy photos babe u got a great body" before I uploaded any, for example)

I try to accepy them, but how much weight I give them depends on who they come from (again here, almost none)

I don't actually get lots of random compliments; my profile is fairly low key, I tend not to post photos or if I do they are private/friends only. I like the well intentioned ones that aren't incredibly .

I have a real soft spot for when people compliment my lexicon or posts or things of that ilk, it feels a tad more sincere. Not sure why that is. I like the unexpected ones, when I see or hear it and I think "Aww how lovely".

I like to give compliments but recieving them it's like it's not to me....also its hard on fab to decide what is genuine or not sometimes... So I take most compliments with a sack of salt.

On here I don't put much stock in compliments since even with no photos showing I'll still get "wow, you're gorgeous!" type messages

In real life I've had to learn to graciously accept compliments as an adult. My automatic reaction used to be to put myself down instead of saying thank you, or deflect with humour.

I really like getting compliments from other women as somehow they feel more genuine. Like them from guys if they’re original so rather than ‘I want to slap that arse’ I’d prefer ‘Your bottom transcends the moon at its brightest’.

I do become immune to them on here but every so often I will get one compliment that I can tell is very real and genuine and it does make you feel good.

I can relate to this. I have very little confidence about how I look and I used to always fight a compliment. But I've learnt to just smile and say thank you now even if I don't agree with the compliment.
