I was woken up this morning by the sensation of someone choking me... bloody hair!! Normally sleep with it tied up

As a teenager I had bum length hair and it was always tied in a pony tail with fabric wrapped round as I liked it straight so would'nt plait it. Woke up many a time with it choking me

id love to get it longer so when its down it drapes over my boobs but that will take forever and will get bored waiting lol... ive had so many styles

But it's sooooo short right now, I did the right thing and had all the dry ends cut off...

Oh I cried when I had it cut off to shoulder length, but the upkeep of it was just taking over my life. It would take me all night to dry as I couldn't use a hairdryer on it cos it just had so much static.

It was sold to make a wig

thats a lovely outcome though and im sure the wig was appriciated by its owner. shortest mines been was a bob that couldnt touch my shoulders just so i could avoid tieing it up and in a bun during my time in the air cadets

Thank you.. just wish i was a bit more girlie when it comes to styling it. i rarely straighten it. love to experiment with curls and french plaits. most days its just tied up or ive got a headband/alice band brushing it away from my face

I always had bum length hair when i was younger and loved my hair until i was 13 went to the hairdressers to get a perm(lol)didnt understand what she meant by short perm ended up getting hair cut short to my shoulders and got real upset, so for a few yrs i used to get it cut to shoulders often but now just letting it grow again to certain length so its always half way down my back

I used to make hair pieces with clients cut off hair in my spare time at work..

That sort of thing was very theraputic for me.. Never made much money but i enjoyed it.

I have always had long hair and it has never choked me in my sleep.

But do find in the summer, it makes me too hot, if I sleep with it down.

late september last year we had a heatwave and i was hot and cranky, and a tad merry and thought a good wat to keep cool was to cut my oun hair. needless to say went very wrong. had hair down my back to begin with and after the hair dresser 'fixed it'was jaw length with 2 inch layers at the top....grows fast though thank fook and is same as my profile picture. surprised im not bald tbh....dye it all the while
