When I was in secondary school I wasn’t well liked. Didn’t help I had a boyfriend four years older than me (he’s now my husband).

There was Facebook pages made about me, one saying I should commit suicide, another saying how fat and ugly I was etc. Girls I thought were my best friends were part of these pages.

And the end of sixth year there was an ‘awards ceremony’ - an official one from the school, and then the whole of sixth year got to make up categories and vote for people, and after the official ceremony that one would take place.

I was voted for ‘ugliest girl’ and ‘most looks like a hybrid between a sloth and frog’

I didn’t attend either ceremony, despite winning in everything I was voted in....official, and the ‘jokey’ ones. I told the school and I was told it was ‘an end of year laugh’ and if I didn’t want my name involve, speak to those who were running it. Yeah, cause that would work...
