I would go back and tell me what a fucking blast I'm going to have growing up and not to regret any of it. (apart from maybe one day spent makes on a beach in California involving a large bottle of Jack Daniels cling film and a hose pipe)

I'd take my Dad's advice and get involved more in these new up and coming thing called computers. He told me in the late 60s they would one day be in every office and factory. Funny, he never mentioned homes

I'd say dont be afraid of being yourself and dont hide behind a mask. Took me years to learn that, meant I wasted my 20's!

Siren says she'd tell her younger self not to be so shy, although half a bottle of white wine soon cures that.

For me, I'd tell my younger self that when ya gorgeous sexy beautiful cousin tells ya she has this kissing disease ... fookin kiss her!

Don't worry so much. Things will turn out alright. I've made mistakes in life, but have no regrets. It's what makes me who I am today and I won't apologise for that or change anything

I could cry at the missed opportunities I had when I was younger and now I am a chubby, married forty something lol.

So, I would tell myself not to be such a puritanical young git and just go for having meaningless, casual sex, rather than waiting for "Miss Right"

I'd give myself a list of all the things to save and not throw away... or give away for that matter.

I wouldn't waste my breath telling younger me what other things to do or not to do:

1 - I probably wouldn't listen.

2 - I might accidently stop myself doing some of the really fun things which started off a bit risky.

3 - I might miss out of some of the learning experiences.

I never had a pint with my Dad

OK we had the usual family weddings etc, but I never sat down in a pub with him and had a beer.

He died in 1999, and my first beer of the night always goes to him

I actually do a lot of time traveling and I can assure it's ill advised to ever interact with another version of yourself. It creates a time paradox with an unpredictable outcome.

Having said that I did travel back to that time I lost my keys and put them somewhere safe for past funky to find. Incidentally if anyone is interested the keys were in the last place I looked.

I am happy with the way things are right now so wouldn't want to change the past. Who knows you may fix something from the past making things then worse now.

nothing at all

been sitting here thinking about it and if i did then it may alter the course of my life and then i may of never met the gorgeous mr b and had 2 fabulous boys so definately not a thing

life is about taking the rough with the smooth and learning life lessons as you go along so for warning myself defeats the object i think

Grab myself by the throat and bitch slap me several times. Once for letting my parents disuade me from joing the regular army. Once for taking back my ex and making her my wife..now ex wife and once for buying a house at only 20.

But then if we went bacdk and changes us, we wouldn't be who we are, where we are and possibly not who we are with now. That being the case, i would just hide and grimace as i made those mistakes all over again.

I would tell myself to make sure that the day i unexpectedly pulled the gorgeous workmate I'd been salivating over for months, I should make sure i wasn't wearing american tan knee highs under my jeans and Bridget Jones fecking knickers.....other than that future lottery numbers and buy a couple of houses with my redindancy dosh in 2001 when they were only £15k instead of just the one.....
