Different approaches

After speaking to a few ladies I know I'm not the only one to feel this way but I was wondering the reasons why.

I find it much more difficult to approach and flirt with women than men. Couples are a complete minefield too.

So how do you deal with it? Is it easier in person?

I find if I click with the person then flirting comes a bit easier, male or female. But it is nicer in person

I have never flirted with a woman until recently. I enjoy talking and flirting..she makes it easy.

It kind of just fell into place.

I don't flirt with blokes so I may be wide of yhe mark, surely whatever you'd do to flirt with a guy you'd transpose to a lady.

Couples I agree can be awkward.

Far easier in person I think. I find with women you don't want to be the first to make a move in cause you've misinterpreted general platonic flirtiness for actual intent so then you're stuck playing lesbian sheep and waiting for the obvious to create a billboard advertising they want you. When they do make it obvious it's such a thrill though. Men are far easier - stroke their ego and you're giving them a virtual handjob.

It's really not that straight forward. Men are generally simple creatures, they're much easier to read.

Women I get embarrassed and shy and it makes things a million times more awkward.

The familiarity with women can also be intimate like flirting and... is she being nice or is she interested? Maybe she's straight. I don't want to be creepy.

This made me think about the fact that most of my female friends are straight too, we don't flirt. I don't flirt with women day to day and tend to assume they are straight yet with men it just happens.

Flirting, if I was any good at it, with a couple I would struggle with. I see flirting as a natural reaction to each other 1-2-1, but I think with a couple I’d be too conscious of upsetting one of them

Just about anyone who has ever met me (Tom) knows that I am an incorrigible flirt. It comes naturally to me. Women, couples, sometimes men too.

There is always one ingredient without which flirting is a total waste of effort. For a really good flirt it is essential that all participants are full of personal confidence backed up by mutual attraction.

So, don’t expect it to be easy wit everyone. If it’s not, either they’re not right for you or the timing is wrong. Don’t be disheartened. Justly move on and try again

Just totally depends on the person/s who you are in contact with, some couples are really nice and easy to get along with the same as the singles it’s just the luck of the draw and going on your gut instinct

But it's hard to chat with 2 people by message, often you don't know which one is answering and it's hard to turn chat to more.

It is harder, I think it just takes practise though.

Whenever I chatted to a couple in the past I always asked who I was talking to initially, that then governed the tone of the messages. Bear in mind though that the couple will most likely be finding the messages clunky and hard to chat effectively too. I usually found that in most of my interactions with couples, things moved onto kik or texts fairly quickly, then it's just like any other chat based conversation.

I just assume women see me as a kind of bloke with a minge, and it's only when I see them face to face and perhaps a little twinkle in the eye do I realise they may wanna get scissory with me.

I find this surprising. I always assumed the exact opposite to be honest. Women would feel less wary by being approached by one of their own rather than by opposite sex? Especially given the quality (or lack of) of many a man on here?

I try to avoid flirting face to face as it would be more like a one man stand up comedy show... Can flirt writing... And I can t recognise someone flirting with me.. Reckon because I don t see anything to warrant attraction to me I don t bother considering flirting or being flirted with

I personally can't tell with the written word at all, I naturally assume it's to look "more fun" in front of the blokes.

From a female point of view it’s definitely easier to flirt with other females in person, especially if you’re at a bi event.

On Fab the messaging always seems to turn to girly talk very quickly and we forget about the flirting.

With couples not so much of a difference.
