I think, recently, some of the proposals over ‘policing’ the ‘net, fell flat. Freedom of speech, expression and all that.

The new under 18 ID check was supposed to start 19th July but postponed until October while they try and finalise how the system is going to work

From what I remember, this is down to Japanese censorship laws. It’s legal to produce porn and to show sexual acts, but genitalia must be pixellated. Given that most of Pornhub is user-uploaded, it comes from the original Japanese source material - hence why even though to is it seems unusual, the censorship is still applied.
