So far in the shops backyard I've spotted .....

3 different Butterflies

2 different Bees

A long weird wasp type thingy

False Widow Spiders

And a Zebra Spider

But my question is, if you see a bug or a creature you dont know , do you like to find out what it is ??

I love nature spotting

I was watching a super cute little Jumping Spider yesterday who was sizing me up also (with his multiple little eyes).

Aylesbury

A couple of months after I started at my current job I found a large red and black beetle, turned out to be a soldier beetle. I also found some ladybird nymphs but they turned out to be harlequin do I killed them.

Yes the Harlequins have invaded the habitat of our native ladybirds , pesky little fuckers

I like watching birds in the summer as they generally wear a lot less clothes

They do more than that, they are actively killing and eating our native species.

This one was particularly unusual and visually striking in that he sported a metallic gold exoskeleton. He was quite gorgeous (well as gorgeous as a spider can possibly be)

I love watching nature, on Saturday spent 15 minutes watching an otter fishing and then cleaning itself

When I was little I used to have a little vivarium that I used to fill with little plants and mud and twigs, stones and shit...then I'd collect about 10 of a certain bug (normally woodlice, or chukypigs as I called them), and watch them for hours, then set them all free

I love nature and animals!

Yes! If I'm out for a walk with someone I seem to get told a lot off for not listening to them because I get constantly distracted by the wildlife. "ooh! Look at that beetle!" is not an appropriate response to someone telling me their relationship troubles...
